These devices remove iron and manganese from the raw water using special catalytic mass. Filters operate on the principle of catalytic transformation of Fe and Mn ions dissolved in water into low solubility compounds of iron and manganese which are very easily removed by media backwash.
They are available in versions with automatic and manual controls for media backwash.
